It’s definitely not a better movie, but the Rocky Horror sequel, Shock Treatment has better songs than its predecessor and I think it’s time we’ve had that conversation.
One of the reasons I hate modern film adaptations of musicals is that few people know how to dynamically capture movement on camera without going to music video language. Fosse created a language for dance on film that is dying!!!
