The DDoS attack wasn't directed at us but at one of our clients which is always a risk with shared servers hosting many ppl.
If the attack happens in your website, you can host it in a DDoS Protected service, otherwise, your host needs to do it. :)
Recent website downtime - My host has been DDOS'd FIVE TIMES this month. Pissing me off, but nothing I can do about it.
