Pinning this to my profile as a reminder to myself.

Choosing discipline over mood.

I like posting on X. I think it's fun to share ideas. However, my December sales were low, and I don't like it. Seems like I need to step back for a little bit (again) and only do the essentials. Just trying to find that balance.

There’s never a 'perfect time' to publish your first book. Start now and learn as you go. The market doesn’t wait for perfection—it rewards persistence.

Not everything should be monetized. Sometimes money takes the fun out of hobbies.

Here's my simplified workflow for publishing low-content books. 1️⃣ Research demand (Amazon and Publisher Rocket. Hopefully @Helium10 soon!). 2️⃣ Create focused products. Less is more. 3️⃣ Publish. 4⃣ Market. 5⃣ Repeat.

Merch by Amazon has been my largest income stream in 2024. I'm confident that will change in 2025.

I recently restarted YouTube and KDP. If I had to do it all over again, I would've started with KDP and added YouTube a few months later.

'Do what you love and the money will come’ isn’t a guarantee. Monetizing hobbies can turn fun into work. Some passions are better left as passions

Crazy how this relates to the last post I made. @garyvee always fires me up.

One day it will be over 💀 … and you’ll regret not acting on the video above … I hope this wakes someone up this morning … 2025 has to be your year … it has to be ❤️❤️❤️ PS : text me for any follow up questions at 📱:1-212-931-5731 #noregrets #overthinking #motivation

It doesn't do any good to think about the past and ponder the "what ifs".

I started self-publishing again about 30 days ago. What have I learned? youtu.be/VEIFdgbbj3A

This blog got me thinking about publishing again but taking it from a different perspective. You will need a Medium membership to read most of her posts. kristennwalters.medium.com

I LOVE creating pen names. Ways I do this: - combine 2 names of friends / family - combine 2 names or words into 1 made up name - consult Chat GPT for advice - I DON'T use any famous names When I find something, I look on Amazon and Google to make sure it's not taken.

Starting work late today. Time for a coffee shop work session to get focused. It's times like these where I wish I had some paid personal time. Oh well, at least my income is semi-passive.

The difference between who you are and who you want to be is what you do. Not what you say.

If you’re overwhelmed by self-publishing, you’re not alone. I’m still there because there are so many possibilities. I have to remind myself several times a week to stay focused.

What do you want to accomplish in 2025?

Creative Fabrica is a good website. However, I received confirmation that the PDF files (book covers) are saved in RGB and not CMYK. So I put my last video to private. I was going to publish an update video, but I don't want it to be too confusing having 2 videos up about it.

A big thing I've learned over the past month... Your first attempt doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to exist.

Yup! BUT it may take longer than 2-3 years.

Here’s what to expect: • Some days, you’ll want to quit • It takes 2–3 years to find what works • Another 2–3 years to get really good • Others will earn more, go quicker & do better :)
