Now that we're back in full swing, I thought I'd join the fray and post my first-ever @baseballhall ballot. It's an honor to vote and I take the responsibility seriously. Truthfully, I had trouble evaluating the pitchers on the ballot and ended up voting for 2.
Abreu, Beltran, Buehrle, Hernandez, Jones, Pettitte, Pedroia, Utley, Hamels. Plenty of room for debate here. Keep it civil😂
My HOF ballot: I was persuaded by @JPosnanski and others that peak dominance matters in assessing HOF, which is why I voted this time for Andruw Jones. I also listened to Jay Jaffe (and others) re extending discussion on starting pitchers. This years ballot afforded that luxury.
Here it is, my 2026 BBWAA Hall of Fame ballot. Full explanation on selections here: mlb.com/news/bryan-hoc…
Here’s my Hall of Fame ballot.
Mailed my ballot earlier this week. It’s an honor to be a Hall of Fame voter. @ShutTheDore
Happy New Year to everyone! Felt very privileged to receive my first @baseballhall ballot in 2025 and mailed it off last week. Tougher decisions than I expected. I voted for six guys & was on the fence for five others I left off (Abreu, Buehrle, Hamels, Pedroia, Pettitte).
This is my 10th year voting for the @baseballhall. I have voted for 20 players who were inducted; two more could follow this year. Here’s my ballot and a rundown on why I checked all 10 boxes. mlb.com/news/mark-fein…

My Hall of Fame ballot for this year. I try to write an explainer each year. This year I talked about how I learned to love a bigger Hall. baseballamerica.com/stories/j-j-co…
My first Hall of Fame ballot was a thrill and an honor. But it was harder than I thought. Column: mlb.com/news/jason-fos…
10 years ago, the BBWAA did the right thing and allowed MLB.com writers to join. Now, this winter, some very astute baseball writers are voting for the Hall of Fame for the first time. That is a great thing for the process.
