I have not used Quarkus yet for anything in production but exploring it in development and I like what I am seeing so far. Developer productivity feels like it will be 🔥

If you attend @FranklinU and are interested in (or already in ACM SIG) check out the WebDev-Cloud SIG. We are kicking off a collaborative project in 1-2 weeks. The focus will be on building pragmatic, real-world experience, and developing cloud deployed software + REST APIs.

There is a very human element to writing software and learning the craft. I don't worry about AI taking jobs as much as eroding the connections that keep developers talking to each other. To combat this in my own dev life I plan to hit meetups more often starting in 2025.
