Thread (1/6) A couple of friends and I noticed that two winning igloos from the Christmas contest have evidently been copied from other igloo maker's original creations. These igloos have been copied from Harry CP's blog, that included his own and other author's original igloos.
Appreciate the honesty! but for next if you're going to make a really similar igloo to the original, any sort of credit to the maker of the original igloo to pay homage to them would be nice. Thanks again ๐
Riverside Cabin ๐ฃ๐ก - Decided to try the finale round challenge with using the Cozy Cottage from @igloochallenge! This is my take on the challenge
From seeing @ItsPops_ 's Comic Book store inspired by my Igloo Challenge entry, I wanted to share my initial contest design! I ultimately did not submit this one since I considered my previous one to be better, but here it is:
With only four and a half points to spare (scores are out of fifty points) Maria scored slightly higher than judge Verde Sal allowing her to win the bonus round! Along with the Igloo Medal, she also brings home the Distinguished Igloo Maker's trophy, congrats Maria! ๐๐
Finalist @Maria11252_CP created a Mystical Village for the finale using the Cozy Cottage igloo. All the judges loved how clean and cohesive the igloo came out, but felt as though it was too similar to her Fairy Fables igloo from round 4.
For the finale, judge @VerdeSalCP created a Pirate Grotto in the Cozy Cottage! The judges loved the amount of detail, theme and designs featured in judge Verde Sal's igloo, but felt that it was a bit too much on the busy side.
We got a little help from our friends stepping in as guest judges for the finale round! Eliminated contestants @RainbooCP and @_Dragonetta_ volunteered to judge. Along with that former judge @alex1941cp and past winner of the original series, Netsky judged this round as well!
I remember seeing @Dragonetta's comic book shop Igloo made for @igloochallenge round 3, so I got inspired by it to make my own. All ideas are credited to them!
Inspired by round 4 of @igloochallenge, I've made an igloo based on the play Ruby and the Ruby! ๐๐
Inspired by the round 5 challenge from @igloochallenge, I recreated Bob Pejman's Gardens of Babylon painting in igloo form! ๐น๐ฒ
For the finale of this season's Igloo Challenge, winner @Maria11252_CP will be facing off against judge @VerdeSalCP! The final challenge is for both participants to use the Cozy Cottage igloo, the rest is creatively up to them. Tune in again soon to see their finished igloos!
In order to determine which judge Maria was to face in a one-on-one in the final challenge, a wheel was spun. The judge selected in the wheel spin will go on to face Maria, while the other will continue to judge the igloos for the finale. We're hyped, are you? ๐
For round 5 of @igloochallenge, I made an igloo inspired by the Light of Peace landscape painting by Thomas Kinkade. This round was challenging but a lot of fun! ๐
Surprise, surprise! We aren't done just yet! There's one final round left, one more challenge to complete. The judges are involved now, what's going on?!
Huge congratulations to @Maria11252_CP for winning this season's Igloo Challenge and bringing home the igloo medal! ๐ Although she beat the other contestants, there may be one challenge left for her to complete. A new challenger approaches...
Maria recreated Light of Peace by Thomas Kinkade. The extremely accurate layout and color scheme as well as the creative lighthouse design contributed to her near perfect score. She was rewarded with the gold igloo medal! Big congratulations to Maria!
Race recreated Bob Rossโ Mountain Retreat painting. The judges were impressed by the cabin design he added, as well as the color scheme that was accurate to the original painting. His excellent performance throughout the competition earned him the silver igloo medal.
The Igloo Challenge is down to the final 2! The challenge for Race and Maria was to recreate a painting from an art gallery. Letโs see the igloos they created, as well as the paintings they were inspired by...
