This is going to be an embarrassingly, ridiculously long thread that might interest no one, but the reunion scene between Louis and Lestat in episode 8 of Interview with the Vampire is one of the most devastating and beautiful and visceral scenes I've ever seen, and definitely🧵
His hand trembling as he reaches up to touch Louis for the first time in over 80 years....It's been said many times but: "Sam Reid, the actor that you are"
Ruining the mood by saying every 10 minutes "I can't believe Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson aren't nominated and winning every award"
I've been intentionally going to more movies in the theater because it feels like it's not just that I do enjoy it, it's almost a civic duty at this point. Like buying physical books or getting them from the library.

Rather than amplify tweets, I would remember that this is how actual French reviewers (Le Parisien, here) talk about Sam: "Sam Reid shines as Lestat, with an overwhelming presence, a devastating charm." :)

Something exciting is that Sam Reid has already gotten so much critical acclaim and attention as Lestat w/o being the main lead (like this indiewire quote), so to see him get the kind of showcase TVL will be...I hope he gets even more acclaim and it does great things for him.
Ha, love this. And it sounds like they're using the music to weave the past and present together, which (on top of Sam just having such a strong, beautiful voice) I'm excited for.
