Kudos. UX cannot be a walled garden.
digital design has always relied on tools (photoshop, director, flash, dreamweaver, sketch etc.), but i don't recall practitioners' professional *identity* being so bound up in any one tool. it's hard to have a measured discussion when people feel their identity is at stake.
Figma is not a design tool. It is a drawing tool. That these get conflated demonstrates the shallowness of so much design practice.
