For too long there've been grants available for electric cars, vans, lorries, taxis, and even motorbikes, but not e-bikes. This is a great step, as a mass uptake in e-bikes could provide a real alternative to households that previously relied on two or more cars.
The government plans to offer a system of direct subsidies to businesses in order to cut the price of electric bikes by up to 35%. E-bikes currently cost between £600 and £3,000. thetimes.co.uk/edition/news/c…
