One of the best summary of leadership/stewardship by @mountfordjames...a leader asked his/her followers, 'are you following me or my positional authoity?', 'Do I talk the talk or walk the talk?

What can we do *together* to improve peoples’ lives? - develop a shared purpose and enable everyone to be and bring their full selves. Brilliant perspectives from @shutcake - including 10 habits of truly #inclusive #leaders

Q for myself - can we using our quality management system to better support knowledge management and improve information management? @nickknoco this certaintly resonates nickmilton.com/2021/11/why-yo…

A week on from the launch of the @SysConvening book by @WengerTrayner I share some reflections on why it's important we recognise the vital work of those whose #systemsconvening skills are needed now more than ever thersa.org/blog/2021/09/a…

Really like this from @fabiomoioli on experience and expert, knowledge and wisdom...

Last week's 'Systems Convening' book launch - w. around 500 people - was a real joy: “inspiring!”, “this has made my MONTH!”, “My heart is full - a wonderful affirming hour” people said. Lots of great suggestions for next steps to support Systems Convenors, which we will share...

Catching up on human factors, love this from @drjeffcott & @pbnes acknowledging our incomplete, oversimplified understanding, some of the wrong assumptions and generalisation around safety, human factors etc. Looking forward to more learning from @NHS_Education @theQCommunity

What an article to read from @juliancorner via @BeckyMalby Completely different Completely refreshing and a ray of light leading to a better-for-all future! lankellychase.org.uk/transforming-l…

Every tool has its value, it's essential to have a wide range of tools in our tool box, select appropriately & use adaptively.Highly automated radiotherapy vs medicine dispensary vs geriatric or paed wards vs radiology etc...context very different - environment, practice, process

Thanks @isabelholc we'll cover systemic approaches in future webinars. There is confusion in the BowTie literature and an assumption it's a linear model of accident causation. It's arguably 'neutral' in this regard and there's no reason it can't be used with STAMP/CAST/FRAM etc

What we need to do to make life worthwhile, a life worth to live by @BeckyMalby - not only for patients or healthcare professionals, we all need to feel we belong to the team and not in safari, we must invest time to foster the right environment for all youtu.be/Cf8N8PKtSjQ

Our ‘way of thinking’, mindset, mental model is far more important then being the specialist alone when navigating in complex environment we are in today. Positive impact at scale is delivered by bringing people, skills, passion together thro collaboration cnbc.com/2020/06/15/har…

Don't over estimate what an organisation can acheive, don't under estimate what an individual agent can acheive, narrative is so important to drive progress not perfection because your standard of perfection & your expectation are different from mine longwoods.com/content/18730/…

Cognitive fixation wears off over time so I NEED A BREAK- it reduces recency value of poor approach or solutions -helps divergent thinking (generate multiple ideas in diverse directions)- helps convergent thinking (identify best unique solutions) -fresh mind needed for creativity

Give it a go on Reading the eyes mind test or Social Intelligence Test on #LabintheWild kgajos.eecs.harvard.edu/mite/# and you can tell how adult and teenage brains work rather differently!
