I don't code outside of work. I don't study coding outside of work. I am perfectly fine with my career moving at a normal pace. I am happy for anyone who becomes a senior in 2 years, but that's not what I'm after. I'm after balance, building community and not burning out.

Hot take! Totally agreeeee.

I feel like Tech Twitter hasn't had a good argument about JavaScript frameworks for awhile. So... Vue is better than React.

This tweet popped up today after my class discussed how tech doesn't always take into consideration diversity in race and culture. Equity and equality need to be at the forefront of conversations we have around our user bases. We have an ethical obligation to do better.

I didn’t write the loopholes you exploit, @amazon – your armies of lawyers and lobbyists did. But you bet I’ll fight to make you pay your fair share. And fight your union-busting. And fight to break up Big Tech so you’re not powerful enough to heckle senators with snotty tweets.

1/3 You make the tax laws @SenWarren; we just follow them. If you don’t like the laws you’ve created, by all means, change them. Here are the facts: Amazon has paid billions of dollars in corporate taxes over the past few years alone.

Yikes on bikes.

Good morning everyone! If you have a Rails app 6.1+, you probably noticed all of your bundle installs are failing! A gem, mimemagic, had a licensing issue and needed to yank all of its old (illegal) versions and relicense. Your options:
