Senate Republicans blocked Democrats' bill that would have reopened the government and saved health care for millions of Americans. This is the SIXTH time they've done this. Republicans are responsible for this shutdown.
It's been over 9 months since the LA fires. We have asked for federal disaster aid for months now. Not a dollar from Trump. He is abandoning Americans while building ballrooms and decorating his office gold. It’s disgusting and disqualifying.

This evening, President Trump is ordering 400 members of the Texas National Guard for deployments to Illinois, Oregon, and other locations within the United States. No officials from the federal government called me directly to discuss or coordinate.

Breaking: The number of jobs created in August has just been revised down from +54,000 to -3,000.
The last 3 government shutdowns: October 1, 2025: President Trump December 22, 2018: President Trump January 20, 2018: President Trump Almost like there is a pattern here.
REMINDER: Republicans control the House, Senate and White House. If the government shuts down because they refuse to pass a bipartisan spending bill, it will be on Republicans.
Republicans just brought the House into session for a total of 2 minutes. Democrats tried to bring up legislation to keep government open, keep children on their insurance, and keep health care costs from doubling. Then they adjourned. The GOP will own this shutdown.
