After the lecture session on Saturday, our SheRise Fellows went to Ayo Ayodele Pharmaceuticals @Thedeleshittu_F for a learning visit where they produce pads, cotton balls, cotton wools and the very best Dele pads. It was a very engaging and impactful experience for the ladies.

The Kwara State focal point earlier today visited the office of the newly appointed Commissioner for Youth Development in Kwara State, Honorable Ndanusa Usman to congratulate him on his new appointment and also to introduce the #YouthGovTracka Project to him as well. #YDC
HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY, "OUR OWN DEAR NATIVE LAND" - NIGERIA. Today, Nigeria celebrates 25 years of uninterrupted democracy, a feat that is worth every celebration. While significant strides have been taken, there remains an obvious gap in youth involvement in governance. #YDC
The meeting also had in attendance, the SA on special needs to the Kwara State Governor, Honorable Habeeb Baba Oloye, who in his own words expressed his excitement over the project and the readiness of his office towards creating a community of inclusion. @EPDeu #YDC
In his response, the Chairman of JONAPWD, Mr Bashir Yusuf, lauded @BrainBuilders01 for this initiative and also for their numerous support for the PWD community over the years in Kwara State, he also stated their readiness and willingness to work with the State Youth focal point
The Kwara State youth focal point has met with the chairman of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) and some members of his executive team to introduce the #YouthGovTracka project to them and also engage them in building a possible partnership.
The live radio program was also a phone-in programme where the audience participated by calling, attesting to the impact of the #YouthGovTracka project and the giant strides of Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative in governance and civic engagements #YDC, @EPDeu.
They discussed issues around youth development and empowerment in Kwara State and Nigeria at large, youth inclusion in governance and youth-friendly policies the Kwara state governor has put in place to promote youth growth. #YouthGovTracka, #YDC, @EPDeu @YouthCohort
Earlier this week, the Kwara state youth focal point was a guest on Homefront, a radio program on @sobi101_9fm in Ilorin, Kwara State. Speaking alongside a volunteer, Haleemah Adeaga and Bamidele JohnPaul Toluwase.
During the discourse, she also introduced the accountability tool kit and menu of commitments to them to further engage them. The end of the session saw some of the youths willing to be a part of the project especially the ongoing media campaign. #YouthGovTracka
The Kwara State Youth Focal Point, Alabi Tawakalitu Omolara was invited as a speaker at a youth engagement session virtually where she had the opportunity to introduce the #YouthGovTracka project to the students online. #YDC @EPDeu @YouthCohort #youthgovtracka
