The Nigerian Women Bobsled Team has qualified for 2018 Winter Olympics. They are the first bobsled team ever to qualify from the African continent. Fantastic! 🇳🇬👏
One of the greatest problem of the Nigerian country is this Federal character of a thing. Has always found a way to trump merit and reason.
We constantly find ourselves having to deal with incompetence and structural failures because of adherence to federal character.
Not trying to swing at any tribe, but i believe, if you desire a position of control and prominence, the first step is to empower yourself.
We have to twat this culture of holding the country to ransom because of the incompetence of one, because of adherence to federal character.
This federal character menace goes beyond the appointment of people but also stirs into the location of industries, plants and facilities.
A while back, I recall BRF giving the excessive distance between power plants and gas stations as one reason for high cost of electricity.
This is one typical example of the country suffering because we are trying to achieve geographic inclusion.
I am surely not against the drive for this inclusion, but it surely has to be tempered with economics, logic and reasoning.
