I wish I practiced sculpting a week before the mega jam. It took hours just to get comfortable. A lot is going to be sacrificed for me to model my own player character, but the decision was made.

The enemy was clumping together. This was something I was going to ignore since it's a jam game, but I couldn't let it go. Anti-clumping is jittery with big hordes but should get balanced out once the player's weapon is tuned to deal with hordes.
Got the first enemy model complete. Two more enemy models to go, then onto the player which. Hoping to have the time to make at least two playable characters.
Putting together a schedule for the remainder of the Epic MegaJam. It's not detailed but is enough to enforce discipline. I'll never feel like I'm finished, I must force it.
Test your Epic MegaJam 2025 project! Today I had a bug in the bullet blueprint. On begin play I was setting a delay that would self destruct the bullet. (Think lifespan timer). This method did not work in builds so I opted for a max range system. Added some sounds.
Got the thwomp enemy working for my Epic MegaJam 2025 project. Completing my goal of creating three basic enemy types. I planned to model all characters today but decided to work on sound and test builds first, then enemy. Tomorrow will be dedicated to the player model.
Finished player health system that repels close enemy when hit. (Spent too much time animating the hearts.) Also got an enemy that shoots at the player. Tomorrow I plan to work on thwomp like enemy, then start making art for the player and current enemy.
Just finished the heating system for the player's gun. Going for a walk then hitting up player health. (Epic Games MegaJam 2025)
I feel like making a top-down shooter for this year's Epic Mega Jam. My focus is just that. Once things feel good then I will start to work on incorporating the theme "Here we go again"
