I know he portrays Westlake Ohio in this like it was the 3rd circle of hell
My life has been on display since I was 16 but my story has never been told. #UntoldNetflix August 1st. @netflix
My masters thesis is out now! Many thanks to #noTwitter Hal Halvorson for the years of mentorship! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…
Never underestimate what a scientist can accomplish with duct tape and zip ties
Shout out to all of our amazing graduate students for receiving their Honors Day awards last week!
This #FellowshipFriday we’re highlighting Jacob Dybiec studying the interactive effects of nutrient enrichment and #WaveEnergy on plant community structure and ecosystem stability at @WeeksBayReserve coast.noaa.gov/data/docs/nerr…
Alabama is home to @WeeksBayReserve which encompasses 6k+ acres of wetlands within a small estuary. It’s also home to pitcher plant bogs! These bogs contain a myriad of rare species and are easily accessible on the reserve’s nature trails. coast.noaa.gov/nerrs/reserves…
Found out early this morning that I was awarded the NSF #GRFP, supporting continued endeavors in the field of biogeochemistry. Beyond grateful of support and mentorship over the years from those at @UCFBiologyDept, Lisa Chambers/ABL, and here at @UaDeptBSC @StarrlabUA1 @UA_AS !
From our Coastal & #MarineEcology track: Thanks to their burrowing activity, #FiddlerCrabs homogenize marsh sediments - especially in places where sediments are highly stratified doi.org/10.1002/ecs2.4… #SaltMarsh #WetlandRestoration #OpenAccess @jacob_dybiec @UaDeptBSC @UA_AS
Congratulations to Dr. Shelby Rinehart and Jake Dybiec (Cherry Lab) for their recent publication in Ecosphere, "Stratified vertical sediment profiles increase burrowing crab effects on salt marsh edaphic conditions" esajournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ec…
Happy to share some great student (Jack and Donnie) work @cmubs looking at how microbes from a few select habitats in the Laurentian Great Lakes would respond to crude oil exposure. @cmichSE linkinghub.elsevier.com/retrieve/pii/S…
Hot off the presses, here's a paper investigating how the impacts of burrowing crabs on marsh edaphic conditions vary, depending on how soil is stratified. #TwitterlessShelby and I are real proud of this one! esajournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ec…

Grab your life vests! Our fire personnel @ Sacramento NWR (CA) completed a #rxfire via airboat and terra torch - allowing them to reach areas of the wetland that are normally inaccessible. Regular fire in wetlands is vital to promote healthy habitat for wildlife 📽️ USFWS
Congrats to Cornell for passing the 1:1 line and paying a living wage! rhettrautsaw.app/shiny/BiologyP…
Cornell is increasing grad stipends to $43k for next year, requiring summer funding to be provided for all PhD students, cutting grad tuition costs for private Cornell colleges cause they are currently higher than the public ones
Congratulations to Jake Dybiec, a biological sciences doctoral student, for receiving a paid fellowship from the National Estuarine Research Reserve System, an institution under the purview of the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
#FellowshipFriday: The second cohort of Davidson Fellows are hard at work on their research projects in the National Estuarine Research Reserves. See what they’re working on: coast.noaa.gov/data/docs/nerr… #EstuaryLove
Congratulations to undergraduate researcher, Morgan Sharbaugh, (Cherry Lab) for winning 2nd best poster presentation at the Bays and Bayous Symposium!
