I'm relieved to see familes reuniting today in Israel, as Hamas has finally released the remaining Israeli hostages after more than 700 days of horrible captivity. May this important and overdue moment pave the way to a full and lasting end to these years of bloodshed.
BREAKING: Hamas begins releasing hostages held in Gaza for more than two years, Red Cross says msnbc.com/msnbc/news/ham…
The day Hamas “accepted” the peace deal, the President texted me to let me know. I wrote him back the following short response. I was worried that Hamas wouldn’t follow through; I think most Jews shared my worry. I didn’t expect a reply; I’m just a junior Congressman. I…

I am deeply relieved that the hostages have been released and reunited with their families. Their return offers a rare moment of mercy and humanity amid horror and profound pain. But this must only mark the beginning. Gaza lies in ruins, and Palestine remains under occupation.…
What a wonderful sight to see. Avinatan Or meeting his family and his partner, Noa Argamani after he was freed from two years of Hamas captivity.
I am constantly in awe of my brother’s determination and resilience to make the impossible happen. Today, especially so 🤍
NYC mayoral candidate Andrew Cuomo on the release of the last living hostages from Gaza: “It is a moral moment, a reminder of our shared humanity and the sacred value of every life. We must never forget the terrorist act that brought us here… and never again.”

My dad @SteveWitkoff has always been my hero, the kind of man who leads quietly, works tirelessly, and puts others before himself. But seeing him help bring hostages home reminded the world of what I’ve known my whole life: his heart, his strength, and his faith move mountains.…
Rabbi Shalom Landau responds to his Jewish critics for hosting Zohran Mamdani at his sukkah: “We think our voices decide who wins. That's wrong. God does. “We have a mission in exile to live among the nations.. “Our strength in exile isn't protest. It’s the Torah.”
My inbox this morning is a running feed of more than 600 identical pro-Cuomo emails — part of an organized campaign I'm cc'd on — addressed to Rabbi Shalom Landau for hosting Zohran Mamdani at his Sukkah in Williamsburg.

Is he getting the Sixth Hakafah?! With a government shutdown, I guess he can use a עוזר דלים...
Lapid’s speech full of praise for Trump hit the target. Trump calls Lapid a “very nice man.” Turns to Netanyahu: “Now you can be a little bit nicer, Bibi — because you're not at war anymore.” Epic.

Looks like Trump’s staying in the Knesset for Simchat Torah hakafot tonight.
After much praise from Israeli leaders, Trump is at ease. We are now up to Javanka stories. "Jared loves [Israel] so much that my daughter converted.. I didn’t know this was going to happen... they are so happy. At least, I think they're happy."
Trump calls Steve Witkoff the "Henry Kissinger who doesn't leak."
Trump strikes positive tone toward Netanyahu: "I want to express my gratitude to a man of exceptional courage and patriotism, whose partnership did so much to make this momentous day possible. "You know who I'm talking about. There's only one: PM Benjamin Netanyahu."
Lapid: "I say to all those who demonstrated against Israel... I am the leader of the opposition, and I tell you, you were deceived.. Now that the war has stopped, you have time & a chance to go and learn the facts. The truth is, there was no genocide, no intentional starvation."

Netanyahu reiterates his commitment to the deal: "Mr. President, you are committed to this peace. I am committed to this peace... "I extend my hand to hold those who seek peace with us."

Netanyahu: "Donald Trump is the greatest friend that the State of Israel has ever had in the White House."

Knesset Speaker Ohana is replicating Cory Booker's filibuster?
🚨Scoop: A dramatic meeting last Wednesday between President Trump's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner and Hamas leaders headed by Khalil al-Hayya helped seal the Gaza peace deal. My story on @axios axios.com/2025/10/13/gaz…
Trump stood up to applaud Netanyahu at the start of the Knesset session, with members of the coalition cheering the premier. Chants of "Bibi, Bibi" were also heard. Trump didn't stand up when Herzog and Oppo Leader Lapid were acknowledged.
