Our Voice ad. ‘Yes’ can make a difference. ‘No’ means we’re on the road to nowhere …

How you vote is totally up to you but we’ve decided to run a radio advertising campaign urging people not to fall for all the bullshit that’s being thrown around by the NO campaign. Just don’t let anyone treat you like a mug - if you don’t know, find out! yes23.com.au/vote_yes

A nice reminder for teachers to put their wellbeing first during the school holidays 🥰

The solution will be complex - the challenges real. The workload and demands each day require a broad set of skills and often too much time. Time poor, work life balance =poor. Why I changed careers to teach high school – then quit theage.com.au/national/victo…

This is our letter to parents that the DoE doesn’t want them to read. They're trying to stop the distribution of this letter so only their spin gets through. Share it widely so parents know the real reasons why we have to stand up for students & the profession on May 4.

Please remember that all those interactions you have with your students outside of the lesson really matter. The smiles… the eye contact… the jokes, the fist bumps… and the silliness…they’re all important. They remind kids that they matter. Those moments can mean the world.

She didn’t turn up for last week’s Senate sitting but managed to attend a weekend protest in Canberra. She’s missed Senate Estimates this week. She earns a $211K salary + allowances + super but doesn’t turn up for work. Is she Australia’s most expensive dole bludger? #auspol

Pupils need to interact with each other during remote learning. Research shows it improves independence, supports teacher workload & increases motivation. Plan learning structures now to help that interaction happen.
