Play with a model of coronavirus in the U.S.
Italy is overwhelmed with COVID-19 cases. They’re putting a huge strain on their healthcare system. In America we have even fewer hospital beds per capita, so it’s even more important for us to act early. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_O… #CoronaVirusUpdate #Covid_19 #coronavirus #COVID
Exciting news, considering how slow the USA has been in testing for COVID-19. #CoronavirusPandemic #COVD19 #Covid_19 #CoronaOutbreak #coronavirus

IBM bids to brand the new type of AI that combines the virtues of Symbolic AI and Machine Learning. Take a bow, Neuro-Symbolic AI. (Not sure that Symbolic AI is the cure for edge cases, though. For that, you need a model of the world, ie common sense.) digitaltrends.com/cool-tech/neur…

A new way to make quadratic equations easy
Many former algebra students have painful memories of struggling to memorize the quadratic formula. A new way to derive it, overlooked for 4,000 years, is so simple it eliminates the need.
There’s been a lot of research in coaxing the immune system to attack cancer cells. This recent effort seems to be both promising and low-risk: arstechnica.com/science/2019/1… #Cancer #research #Immunology #vaccines #Science
