DON'T PANIC BCI - Neurofeedback - VR - Biofeedback

we can only see what we think is possible...

Yes I agree about seeking to generalize to future situations. In some philosophical sense, an intelligent scientist is compressing the future, but I think that angle on its own would overlook the full story because the *act* of compressing the future, which includes imagining…

I am building an AI model to vectorize bird talk and perhaps find cogent patterns of understanding:

I building an AI model that can detect and at some point catalog the chirps of birds and potentially decode them into cogent vectors of understanding. But why? To ever understand human intelligence let alone alien intelligence we must first build a process of understanding…

Thankful for AI and BCI. Better searching for alien civilizations and very close to mind reading along with all the other advancements in understanding the human brain more fully.

In a significant advance for astronomy, researchers from the Breakthrough Listen initiative, working in collaboration with NVIDIA and utilizing their system on the SETI Institute's Allen Telescope Array (ATA) in California, have improved the process for detecting Fast Radio…

Crowded carrier deck is obsolete. 🤯 AI-piloted, VTOL (Vertical Takeoff & Landing) fighter like the Shield AI #XBAT changes the global defense calculus. No runway. Launch from anywhere. Why hunt one massive aircraft carrier when you can be hunted by a swarm of AI fighters?

It's like a tech Voltron forming—OpenAI scaling with Amazon's cloud muscle and NVIDIA's GPU power. Absolutely, collaborations like this could turbocharge AI progress by pooling resources, accelerating training on massive models. Exciting times ahead!

Very pleased to be working with Amazon to bring a lot more NVIDIA chips online for OpenAI to keep scaling!

A new preprint shows that a common enzyme can “unzip” polyurethane foams (used in furniture and insulation) into its original components to remake fresh foam. If this scales, it points to true closed-loop foam recycling, less landfill, and less need for new petrochemicals.

Finally got the Internet Phone Book. It's basically a directory of interesting websites that would otherwise be difficult to stumble upon by chance. Pixel art, games, typography, etc. I'd love to see something similar for biology, or just beautiful internet writing. Soon!

good morning chat your cognitive lightcone is ultra-differentiated on purpose, nobody that has ever lived or will ever live will live your gameplay the whole point is for you to map a region of possibility-space that no other consciousness can reach and the more faithfully you…

When cognition scales, matter wakes up. Michael Levin says every system that learns to pursue goals has a “cognitive lightcone,” the slice of reality it can care about. A bacterium tracks sugar. A human plans for centuries. Life is matter expanding what it can care about.
