We’ve already rolled out free breakfast clubs in 750 schools and delivered 2.6 million breakfasts to save parents up to £450 a year. Now, I’m going further. Through Labour’s Plan for Change, we will roll out 2,000 more Best Start free breakfast clubs in primary schools.
Today, we remember all those killed in the appalling attacks by Hamas terrorists on October 7. We stand unequivocally with the Jewish community against hate and in the hope of the return of all of the hostages held in Gaza, and for a just and lasting peace.

The attack on the Manchester synagogue is a horrifying act of antisemitism. The fact that it has taken place on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, makes it only more horrific. My thoughts and prayers are with all the victims of this attack and their families.
