With everything in the Budget, I almost missed this. Ministers have stepped in to approve a £750 million film studio supporting 4000 jobs, in Bedfordshire. The studio had previously been blocked by the local council. A huge win for UK growth + the creative sector!

Stamp Duty should be abolished and replaced with an annual tax on the value of your property. That would remove a tax that stifles the market and install one that encourages transactions. It'd also be a more stable income income stream for govt, so could be lowered.
