This is so true and it’s gotta stop. The “keeping up with Jones” that coaches think they have to do in order to compete is sad and it’s at the cost of kids. Focus more on quality of the practice not quantity.

You can have an issue with Greg Gard calling timeout being up 15 with 15 seconds to go, as long as you also have an issue using a full court press being down 15 with 15 seconds left. You can be ok with both, or condemn both. There's no middle ground.
If Howard is going to be salty by UW calling a timeout with 15 seconds left, maybe don't keep the full-court press on down 15 points when the Badgers have taken out their starters?
