With the budget news, I’ve realised I don’t really care that taxes are so high. The problem is that for the entire time I’ve been paying tax it’s only been used to make my life worse

Mistaken prisoner releases are completely unacceptable. Years of cuts have hollowed out the system, and between 2010–24 just 500 new places were added. I will leave no stone unturned to fix this and keep the public safe.
The layoffs will keep coming. This is your sign to come up with your “Plan B” Start building, nurturing, and reaching out to your network. Ex-colleagues are a great place to start. Start building out some cash runway as there’s a decent chance your job search will take longer…
