K-State doesn't have the numbers in its alumni base to make this work. Other schools have a numbers advantage in potential donors. Look at Ohio State, for instance. One of the largest alum bases in the country. Pro sports leagues have a salary cap that is enforced. NCAA doesn't.
KSU fans have been showing up on Saturdays for decades. We need to evolve as a fan base. 50,000 people x $50/mo is a $30M NIL budget. The game has changed, it’s time the fan base steps up financially if we want our Wildcats to ever compete for a championship again.
Texas Tech and our new Utah friends in the Utes and BYU are clearly the best teams in the Big12. These teams could all compete with the top 12 teams in the country. At least 2/3 of them need to be in the tournament.
