this. I almost always use codex-medium for implementation. Just the right amount of speed and accuracy. Only use codex-high for planning. Def wish codex had a mode similar to cursor or claude code for robust planning, would be sick
I’ve found codex medium doing just as well as codex high, better on not super complicated tasks, and also faster
Reminds me how gmail was 5 years in beta. I've always had Claude on my desktop for last couple of months now.
