I feel like we have to adopt Ghostty at @ghostsecurityhq as a corporate engineering standard. Pretty much have no choice.

Ghostty's icon is now Tahoe compatible: supports Liquid Glass, light/dark mode, and tinting. We had to lose a tiny amount of detail but very hard to notice, and the new effects make it look super clean. Videos of the various styles and effects attached. Icon by @flarup.

"have you ever made an api request to openai" this question weeds out 95% of engineering applicants. which is wild. people have been talking non stop about AI for three years if you haven't made a single API request in that time, you have no curiosity and you're not qualified

Boom! We cracked it! Today we are introducing Boomless Cruise—supersonic flights up to 50% faster with no audible sonic boom. We quietly (har har) demo'd this on XB-1's first supersonic flight—three times actually. 🧵👇

A lot of people are ignoring that Go is becoming a commonly used language for prompting pipelines. Python in prototypes and Go in production is another common combo.

Me and the team at @lovable_dev just spent two months rewriting 42,000 lines of code from Python to Go. Technical deep dive of why we did it +what this means: // 1

Why fonts look so much better on macOS than Windows. TL;DR: “in short: macOS treats fonts with respect and dignity, and Windows mercilessly beats and tortures them to death and throws their mangled, desecrated corpses by the roadside all while laughing about it”

oh, it appears as if you have summoned me there are several reasons as to why: 1. macOS does not use hinting hinting is a technique to improve the sharpness of text on low-resolution screens and allow outline fonts to be rendered as bitmaps at a variety of sizes. it works by…
