Is having a different schema markup to your competitiors a bad thing? I've noticed that the 4 main sites that now rank above me (Lplanet, CNTrav, etc) all have list-type articles marked up as lists/have breadcrumbs. I don't. Could that cause an issue?
The main sites in the travel space that I'm seeing benefiting from the update so far are small sites organic traffic wise (under 50k monthly visits) that offer tour services.

I have grown to hate the "niche site" space on Twitter, a place that use to bring me so much value. It's nothing but creatives trying to manipulate the algo, sell you crappy courses, and make you believe it's easy if you build the way Google doesn't agree with...
Strive to create content that, when your competition clicks on it/watches it/etc, they think 'Ahhhhhh fuck'.
