Heat stroke / exhaustion kills more people (elderly) than a lot of the more sensational natural disasters, but even when it’s written about and warned against, it’s usually in a facetious way with advice to keep cool and try to “beat the heat”

We do not take heat seriously as a public health issue. We just don’t.
