To my #1 podcast of 2021, That Sounds Fun with @anniefdowns: thank you for keeping me company on @Spotify all year long! #SpotifyWrapped open.spotify.com/show/6W24Yt5oA…

I loved Steve & Blue growing up. Whatever that talking to the camera thing he did is… He’s still got it!

So about that time Steve went off to college… #BluesClues25

Something to try, now that we are ending hybrid learning...

Extremely useful structure for notice & wonder. 👇 Groups chat & then select three questions to share out — one they think ... 1. is unique to their group. 2. they could use math to answer. 3. that's just fun. Learned it from watching Kellie Stilson @115yhs just now. 🎁

More than anything else, teachers want their students to be successful. And right now, many students are struggling, despite the best efforts of teachers. I know this thing is hard on students...but it is also taking an emotional toll on teachers who are desperate to help them.

I’ve been saying this for years.

Add teaching during one the most divisive presidential elections in history on top of teaching during a pandemic. More proof that teachers can teach in any environment... they should not have to, but they can.

Here's what I'm sure of after yesterday: we can not continue to operate as if half of the country does not exist.

“It was a mistake.” I wish politicians said this more often.

Teachers, it’s okay to have a lesson plan fall apart sometimes. Tacos fall apart and we still love them! 🌮 #EdChat #EduTwitter

I do the same amount of work every day that I’ve been doing, but I’m more tired at the end of a work day than I’ve ever been. If that’s you too, it’s okay. 2020 has asked a lot of us and our bodies know it. Be kind to yourself. You aren’t weak. You’re tired. Me too.

I think it’s important to trust people to do their job. And I think it’s important to assume people want to be good at their job. While that might not always be the case, I think any other assumption undermines a healthy culture. I could be wrong; it’s just my philosophy.

I'm not quite on this level but I aspire to be! Definitely going to steal some ideas from this... esp the tiny claps!👏

We’re following a God we can’t see, for a lifetime we can’t measure, to a heaven we can’t comprehend, because of grace we didn’t earn. Be patient with each other. We're all looking through a knothole at eternity trying to figure our lives out today.
