Sure, no European ally would come to our aid if China starts island hopping in the Pacific (they refuse to even sign a defense pact that includes Japan or Hawaii), but they’re also terrible economic allies that import more goods from China than from us.
I can’t get over this. She says the EU has the potential to be a strong global force. Why? Because they have universal health care, mandatory rest days, and an enforcement mechanism for “digital rules.” They’re trying to run the world with what a nanny uses to run a daycare.
Trump wants to destroy a strong and united Europe. Against chaos, we defend a rules-based international order. Against egoism, we choose cooperation based on mutual respect. Against brute power politics, we stand united in defence of our values. This is the European way.
