Congrats to the #CHIEF_HF investigators…digital first trial, with drug, & for regulatory indication expansion. Canagliflozin improved quality of life in patients with heart failure. But the trial design even bigger news. Heralds new era in trial implementation. @jspertus #AHA21

The second is from ISCHEMIA-CKD and noted that nearly half of patients had no angina in the prior month. Even in patients with angina, the health status benefit with revascularization was transient and less significant than in the primary ISCHEMIA trial.
Amazing email today for those on satellite internet from @ViasatInternet @ViasatInc. In a world where we have to work at home, no break on costs or fees for more access. I used mine up in a week and now on dial-up speed. Just criminal. #makingmoneyfromCovid
#COVID19 Very concerned about unfounded recommendations to stop ACEI/ARBs in patients with heart disease. Agree with @ACCinTouch and @AHAScience that patients need to consider these decisions in close consultation with their doctor. @UMKC @MidAmericaHeart
Fabulous cutting edge initiative to understand the roles of new technology to improve human health. Thrilled to be part of this ground-breaking study with @CMichealGibson...

Seems like my cheese shipment from Green Dirt Farms should have come with a free copy of the Seattle Angina Questionnaire. @djc795 @jspertus
I applaud UC for drawing attention to this. The quest for profits by Elsevier is impairing the sharing of science, which is our primary goal as researchers and scientists.
"Consider declining to review for Elsevier journals" Notice to All Faculty by Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost of University of California @UCsystem. Unprecedented! See chronicle.com/article/In-Tal… for more. #openaccess #bigdeals
Great to see real-world evidence of the QoL benefit of mitraclip. Glad to see our outcomes focus on how patients are feeling and functioning. @MidAmericaHeart @djc795 @akcmahi
Our study from ACC/STS TVT on quality of life after edge-to-edge transcatheter mitral valve repair ja.ma/2PLkJdE in real-world (mostly degenerative MR). Will be interesting to see the QOL results of COAPT.
So great to see our fellows leveraging their analytic skills to address practical clinical questions and help guide how best to manage patients.
