Great to read this is happening in UK - what about Australia? Start your own ban and use iron-based pellets.

Fantastic news that metaldehyde slug pellets are to be banned at last. I haven't used them for years - I do use slug pellets but wildlife-friendly ferrous phosphate ones. It has long baffled me why anyone would use this poison when they don't even have to bit.ly/2RAChcK

It was with great sadness that we heard today of the death of John Brookes FSGD. John was not only a founding member of the SGD, a past Chair and a Fellow of the Society, but also one of the most respected landscape & garden designers of his generation. He will be greatly missed.

A lovely combination of art and plants!
