Regarding GenAI, it also comes down to what you believe too easily, and/or our position towards hallucinations. If you don’t think or deal with it through guardrails/measurements, you are fooling yourself. It’s a nice tool, but it doesn’t fully replace our brains just yet.
We must be *especially* skeptical of claims that we agree with or deeply wished were true. Yet, so many today quickly accept as fact even the most unlikely claims if it supports their beliefs or hopes. Social media has intensified this human tendency toward wishful thinking.
