“And was Jerusalem builded here among those dark satanic mills Bring me my bow of burning gold Bring me my arrows of desire Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold Bring me my chariot of fire” 🏴 🇬🇧 Even as an immigrant I wholeheartedly agree (Not endorsing all of Mr Lowe’s views)
I'm proud to be British, but I'm also proud to be English. We shouldn't be afraid to talk, and teach children, about all of the wonderful things that England has given the world. No shame, no guilt, no fear - let's be unapologetically patriotic.

There’s a class of software called “reasoners” whose input is facts (in a normalised form such as triples/ontologies/semantic graphs). Output is a deduction or inference (new fact not present in input). GPT3.5 seems to do this reasonably well (1/2)

Engineering is about balance and tradeoffs
“Duplicated code is often better than wrong abstraction.” “Excessive copy/paste bloats the code, hurts consistency, slows reading, increases bug risks, and makes it harder to scale.” Both are true. So, avoid copy/paste. But also avoid premature abstractions. It’s a balance.
