Recently, we generated proof-of-concept for a DNA methylation based test for CUP diagnosis @VIB_CMB, @ugent & @uzgent. Now, we start a collaborative @komop_tgkanker project with @UAntwerpen & UZA to refine the method and implement in clinical practice.

Our paper on diagnosis of pediatric brain tumors using methylation profiling of cfDNA from cerebrospinal fluid is out now. While very promising, there are still some challenges ahead in the context of CSF collection and low tumoral fractions: rdcu.be/dM6Ol
