Yeah - tripped on the pavement, cracked a rib, cut the top of my eyebrow. Luckily a woman saw it happen, got me into her posh house and got a frozen bag of pees on my rapidly swelling hand. It was brutal. 🤕
Oooooh! Nasty. Never a good thing for a drummer. I’ll be going back in for surgery for Carpal Tunnel in the New Year. I had both hands done in 2006 and 20 years on, here I go again! Love the NHS though.
I fell 8 weeks ago and my wrist is still in a wrist-brace!
Another day of hospital appointments. Not me this time though. I was here on Wednesday. Today it’s Mrs $linger getting physio and x-rays after falling in her work’s car park a fortnight ago due to a pothole. I’m her designated driver. Waiting room is much busier than it looks.

I don’t mind using @TravelodgeUK. It’s a relatively cheap way to get your head down for a night or two but although I don’t ever expect a great view, a window covered in bird crap isn’t really acceptable. Do Newcastle Central ever wash their windows? This was room No.37 btw.

Interesting to hear her as part of a quartet/quintet rather than with an 85 piece orchestra. Also they can all fit in a people carrier rather than having to hire trucks and tour buses. The place was well busy so I reckon they’ll each make £80. Perhaps even more! 🎼😎🎼

Just opened a packet of @CadburyUK “Dairy Milk Fingers” and this is what you get in the unopened internal part. Roughly 60% contents and 40% bugger all. Ok, I know there are far more important things going on globally right now but this is still totally unacceptable.
I fell three weeks ago and cracked a rib, cut my hand and my head, I’m still in pain and haven’t had a decent night’s sleep since. This looks like a nightmare - but no doubt he’ll be back on the bike next week putting me to shame.

Hi @ScotRail I’ve just noticed that the ticket bought on 7.9.25 has expired - even although it wasn’t activated. If it wasn’t activated then clearly it was not used! Why can’t it be activated at a later time (one week?)

I had a very informed and helpful chap on the phone last week patiently trying to explain the pension documentation that had been sent to me. Sadly I wasn’t any the wiser, as it’s so convoluted it might as well be written in Cuneiform or Linear A script.
