If you haven't explored teaching Python with @imagilabs, perhaps this one PD participant's final project will inspire you! Julie is an elementary, stem, music, & now Computer Science teacher who took the "Creative Teaching in Python using imagi" PD sponsored by Infosys! *soundon

Texas Teachers, we have an outstanding PD ready for you this summer offered through WeTeach_CS. Spend a week remotely w/ the @imagilabs team to learn how to bring an engaging curriculum to your students using Python, Art ->TEKS, ISTE, CSTA standards based lessons! @CstaCentralTX

Using MIT's RAICA Picture This curriculum & loving how engaged my Gr7 studs are with it! One student wanted to clarify what bias in datasets meant. Another analyzed features missing in a cat that made Teachable Machine think it was a dog! Great insights, and convo! @csteachersorg
Teaching the updated imagi course 1 to my grade 6 students and using the imagi-charms right at the start! Thank you, @imagilabs . Loving the new lessons, students really engaged in conversations about tech and coding!

Just in! "Today, we want to let you know that CS First will no longer be available after June 30, 2025. Over the next 3 years, Google is pleased to support the Raspberry Pi Foundation in the development of Experience CS"-- I just subscribed! @csteachersorg
Students are trying to analyze the datalogger- Makecode Step Counter Project. We thought x was side to side, the y, "jumping up and down" and perhaps the z moving forward. How do we validate our assumptions. Ran experiments but totally confused! HELP :) microbit.org/projects/make-…

Curious & interested to know what does a Computer Science Middle School classroom look like? Do students bring their own device or do we still have desktops in the technology / CS classroom? What devices are they using? Are they working at tables or desks? @csteachersorg
Love using CS Discoveries from @codeorg to build grade 6 Ss Computational Thinking skills! I really check their work and they build great habits. This student exceeded my expectations in Lesson 7 using shapes to construct her robot face. Her code is impressive! @csteachersorg

Grade 5 Ss asked me this week how come we don't have Computer Science more often? We love this class :) Schools that do offer CS are lucky to have the opportunity to give all Ss access to a joyous CS curriculum. In middle schools, CS classes meet at random intervals, if at all!
Teaching Python w/ @imagilabs and doing a code-along, lesson on calling functions. This pedagogy, code-along, gathering input from the class, quickly reveals student misconceptions. Great opportunity to strengthen, fix & develop concepts w/students. Now they are off & running!

Made our final submissions to the #CodeWithAIChallenge. Our students are amazing showing their command of functions, animations, & loops through art! We welcomed the new debugging buddy. Simone Biles & a popular basketball athlete inspired two of our students! #HackleySchool

Discussing Chromebook management software to take control of Ss Chromebooks, push out teacher's slides to student devices, & send an alert that freezes their screen with a message to turn to face the teacher. Are schools,Teachers using an app to do this & what might you recommend?
Sharing this with my colleagues in CSTA. Many share strategies to engage learners in collaborative learning and classroom discourse. @csteachersorg @csteachersgb
In our new blog post, expert teachers, coaches, and principals from across the country weigh in on how they implement successful collaborative learning in the classroom bit.ly/3X2fyqU @S_W_Hampton @julietp37 @barthcreek @kipglazer @MsDiMaria @kelpowers5
So how might you bring engaging coding "missions" using Python code and a CodeX CPU into your classroom? Check out @firialabs for Grades 4-12 ! Thanks to InfoSys for funding this terrific experience. @InfyFoundation @csteachersorg
Taking PD with @FiriaLabs and I just want to say WOW! They are an incredible team with outstanding resources for delivering Python curriculum with the CodeX board. So worth my time ( Day 2) Thank you @InfyFoundation
Maryland Educators learning & sharing this week at CS EdConf at Hood College. Many people at MCCE, Coding in the schools,& DOE to thank! But, my unsung hero is Elissa Hozore who manages to orchestrate programs to develop teacher ambassadors & watch them blossom. @CstaMaryland

Britt Simmons, Master K-5 MediaSpecialist & I were able to lead a workshop for Maryland prek-5 teachers developing their confidence & content knowledge using DevTech teams resources. Thank you @DevTechResearch for all you do. Shout out to Dr. Marina Umaschi Bers' impactful work!
