A great cause and an organization making a meaningful difference in the lives of Newark kids

Good morning. Every month @TeeRico_LinMan is giving a small grant to a community arts organization changing lives. In April, we’re supporting @k2snewark for their work in transforming youths thru classical music edu.

It's a hard, annoying part of the job, but people who work in quantitative fields—whose work then becomes the subject of public attention—need to look carefully at how their work is being defined by others, and push back against incorrect framings where they can.

“The ritual of a Killing Day is known to all adults. It is taught to children first in outline only, and then gradually in more detail as they get older. The lockdown drill is its Mass. The language of ‘Active shooters’, ‘Safe corners’, and ‘Shelter in place’ is its liturgy.”

Thank you, @marcoarment for creating a feature to let me capture and share one of my hands down, all time favorite memories from the Back to Work podcast with @hotdogsladies and @danbenjamin. “Hi, can I ask you a question? Are you happy with the skills in your pants right now?”

There comes a time in every Mac nerd’s life where he has a problem with the Finder and he thinks, “I know! I’ll install a Finder replacement.” And now he has two problems.
