If I were into conspiracy theories, I’d certainly comment on how gutting social security only works out math-wise if you’re orchestrating mass boomer death by gutting flu vaccines, cancer research, etc.

All I know is, if I woke up tomorrow with multiple billion dollars, I’d spend it in a year on initiatives for small business, literary excellence, wilderness conservation, and democracy. In short, try to reverse the damage of a decade of social media billionaires.
I was promised as a homeschooled kid that when the white theocracy came to America it would celebrate greatness: Shakespeare, Michelangelo. Instead we have cybertrucks, exploding rockets, and AI. America has never felt so mediocre.
Frankly I find it frightening that so many Americans are so blithely willing to parrot propaganda that sounds absurd after even a few seconds of thought, such as “billionaire is doing an audit and rooting out fraud by canning programs approved by Congress.”
Musk is claiming he’s cutting “waste,” but he’s obviously involved to funnel money to his own projects. He’s screaming corruption because he’s projecting.

Given how low Musk’s approval rating is now, and how many unpopular things he’s enmeshed himself in worldwide, there’s a very real possibility he’s the most hated man the world has ever seen. He’s a genius… at making people dislike him.

Anyone who sees Whiplash as aspirational knows nothing about how to follow a plot, let alone how good jazz drummers are made. The best jazz drummer I know was raised by exceptionally encouraging parents. Jazz drumming is about listening and improv, not obeying psycho overlords.
I once worked for a place that got bought by tech bros and they immediately fired about 80% of the staff and outsourced the work overseas for less money. They cycled through a lot of hires and kept trying to discuss AI that’d do things even cheaper.
Communication via mail is harder to surveil and exploit (either for Big Brother or commercial reasons) than almost all online communication, partially due to US mail laws that don’t apply to places like Amazon.

The hottest men I’ve dated have loved that I make them laugh, make them think; that I’m creative, that I listen, that I’m supportive. None of them have ever had the gall to rate my physical appearance like it could be reduced to a numeric. You’re dating a person, not doing math.
It’s not a coincidence that as AI rearranges everything, those who profit off AI are paying to distract you from the real reasons culture and the job market have shifted. They want you to blame immigrants/trans people/anyone but them.
