This app is full of jerks posting their conclusive statements about everything. Based on single-event experience, everyone seems to have firm opinions without proper reasoning. This doesn't fuel any knowledge-lifting conversations, it just chases engagement as its currency
Hoover: Heathrow is 28.3 minutes closer. Gavin: I fucking knew it! Hoover: Smith should’ve dropped you off first, sir. Gavin: Wait. What about headwinds or storm activity? I don’t want to give him any room to wriggle out of this. Here’s what I’m gonna need you to do. Fly each leg…
I partially understand monetary sovereignty. When is the last time that a legitimate payment was declined, blocked or inspected before releasing in a developed country? I am all for crypto but people freaking out over cash payment limits in EU and crypto ID must all be smugglers
Looking at LLMs taking a bath in Alpha Arena. It's interesting, no LLM has a tight stop on their long positions, they just watch positions fall without doing anything. It's a fascinating experiment but I guess it's showing the opposite of what was expected.
My favorite newspaper @guardian went all in on banners requesting to support with a donation. They are having the opposite effect on me and make me want to switch to a different main news site. I'm not disabling JS on their site even though I could. I think this needs rethinking
Most neglect how much value is detached from utility today. It's been years, hard workers, companies doing good to society, scientists, engineers, doctores. Everyone's work is crushed by the detachment of value. Crypto, stocks, celebrities, collectibels are all overvalued and yet
Next.js / Vercel are money makers. Not your friends. Stop expecting them not to be evil
When you show up every day, you notice how shitty is the state of our technology. We depend on poorly conceived products. I'm for a turn to NASA Software Engineering Procedural Requirements everywhere.
It's a constant life of coping with poorly functioning brain people
Let me know when AI can get specific knowledge that can match a human. I'll be waiting. I don't care about AGI, I care about a machine being able to do the work of a human with experience and creativity. Match that I and I will be all in. For now, I'm short on all things AI.…
Ban the fuck out of phones I typed this on a laptop
Buy 100 Graniteshares 2x Short NVDA Daily ETF every week. Dollar cost averaging the demise of the AI hype. We just don't know when it'll happen. Michael Burry should have done the same
I genuinely believe that @WindmillDev is an incredible project. You can run JS and mostly any other script in it, connect to databases, schedule and run things with fine-grained control and in depth visibility. It's a valid option to run functions without serverless too
