Excited to welcome @stephtheother85 to the podcast! In this ep, she offers a fresh take on what it means to build a business by building relationships and how choosing not to take things personally has opened up new opportunities throughout her career. buff.ly/3QCeWlb
If you're building a #purposedriven business, check out this article from @HubSpot's Yogesh Chauhan. And, if you're hoping for a little deeper dive, you might enjoy my latest conversation with Yogesh on the podcast. We dig into the article and much more. buff.ly/3LxLPgm
Apparently a majority of strategic planning fails. Although I agree with this article: laying out a plan and asking your team to get on-board isn’t very compelling. Instead focus on purpose or vision. Your purpose guides cohesive, aligned decision-making. buff.ly/3maiEna
It was such a pleasure sitting down with @HubSpot's Yogesh Chauhan to discuss corporate responsibility, purpose and ESG. Yogesh talks about how HubSpot has linked their purpose and ESG programs, prioritizing communication and brand influence. lnkd.in/eEeczAR.
If you need a pep talk or just a little encouragement to try something new, Stephanie Hanna is your person! She recently sat down with me to chat about what she's learned building a business, launching a podcast and building her own confidence muscle. buff.ly/3hmWbTa
I had such a great time talking about #socialentrepreneurship and #socialmedia trends with @solarheide. Heide talks about her journey building the Conscious Compass and how she approaches social media and marketing for mission-driven companies. buff.ly/3AAAF7e
I really enjoyed speaking to Bill about how we can better manage overwhelm and burnout. Bill is a forward-thinking leader who offers some great advice about how to adapt to the current and future needs of your team. Hope you check it out.
I love learning new things from interesting people. What started as a conversation about navigating burnout and overwhelm turned into an exploration of the changing state of business. In Ep. 27, Bill Fournet joins me to explain some of the ideas that are reshaping business today.
Are you hiring for culture-fit or culture-add? I like this distinction from Stephan Vincent. In Ep 26, Stephan explains we should hire first for values, then look for people who can add a new perspective and new thinking to the company. Listen to more at buff.ly/3A6I539
After a short break, we're back! Stephan Vincent joined the podcast to talk about team culture, human experience, personal and professional #purpose and why we need to hire for culture-add not culture-fit. You can find us wherever you enjoy podcasts or at buff.ly/3Ssxc2A.
Writing a company's mission, vision and values statements is kind of like doing a puzzle without knowing what it will look like until it's done. You just have to keep snapping pieces together until the picture reveals itself. #mission #vision #values #strategy #messaging
Two of the most compelling things I learned talking with Brian Moran and Michael Lennington are first that we cannot hold other people accountable and second that we commonly mix up accountability and consequences. This episode challenged a lot about how I look at leadership.
This conversation changed the way I think about accountability, consequences and choice. It was a joy to be joined by Michael Lennington and Brian Moran to talk about their new book Uncommon Accountability and how many of our traditional views of accountability are flawed.
Anyone else keep learning this lesson? When I started my business, I felt like I needed to show people I knew my stuff. To provide all of the reasons why clients could trust me to do great work. Then, over time, I learned it's far less about me and far more about them.
In other words, the best way to build a strong culture is to decide what you want your culture to look like and then start to build that culture. If you're in the thick of building/rebuilding your culture, @Bonnie_Hagemann offers some great advice in Ep. 22 on how to get started.
It was such a pleasure to welcome @Bonnie_Hagemann to the podcast to discuss purpose, culture and leadership. Bonnie shares tips for creating the culture you want, what's she's learned about authentic leadership and the need for greater diversity in the boardroom. Hope you enjoy!
The more we focus on what our competition is doing, the less we're focused on what we're doing.
This quote felt very timely this week and mirrors a portion of the episode I just recorded with @garvale_. In it, he explains: We can convince people to buy in or we can meet them at a place of connection and hope. Jason is a great example of a heart-driven leader.
Wow, @garvale_ brings so much of himself and his expertise to this episode. I feel so fortunate to have sat down with the Jason Garvale, founder of Begin Within Strategy, to discuss building a business with heart, people-first leadership and a mindful approach to business.
Been busy putting the finishing touches on the latest podcast episode and wanted to offer a sneak 👀. I am so excited to have Jason Garvale, the founder of Begin Within, joining me on Monday to talk about Mindfulness, Branding and where the two intersect. So much good stuff!
