Had a little time this morning to stop by a creole breakfast spot and get the beignet. My favorite memory of my great grandmother was stopping by her house after mass and she would fry me beignets. I miss you Granny. No one makes them like you!
Still some decently green grass on the third of November is pretty exceptional for around here.
We hit a record high yesterday of 83 F and then in 14 hours the temperature dropped 57 degrees to 26 F. Even for us, that’s a big change.
Came across this photo in my files today. Poor guy was pointing quail for us near Canadian Texas and found a porcupine he couldn’t resist. Notice the leash is someone’s belt. We had no leash and he wouldn’t quit attacking the porcupine. Hard to believe you’d want more of those

*Sound on. Been lots of Sandhill Cranes heading south the last couple days. I always hear them before I see them. I think most of these will be spending time in the San Luis Valley for a while.
Apparently he didn’t fill his gas tank before he took off today. Seems like something you wouldn’t forget!! Very lucky man.
