Does anyone use Anytone 778UV? How do you like (not like) it? Consider getting a mobile installed on my truck, need a budget radio due to the break-in concern.
After trying UV-K6, this definitely is a very good alternative (upgrade) from UV-5R with almost same price tag.
Meshtastic is fun. Trying to build a local Meshtastic net is more fun. Receiving a load of lora antenna shipping is the best moment of this week.
Made 60km+ contact with KG6YJ from townhouse backyard to Mt. Hamilton peak with yagi antenna and an anytone 878 HT on UHF band.
I remember my first time at HRO. I went in the store and get an instant anxiety attack and ran out. Went back in a few days after, just to buy a spare coax jumper. 5 hrs later walked out with bags of stuff wondering if I really needed two kidneys and a few other body parts.
Hmm, I think I need to order a UV-K5 now. Appears to be a very fun device
