In response to this FOI'd data, @VancouverPD declined my interview request, asked to send them my questions, and then ghosted me. Here are the questions I sent them. Still waiting for a response.
VPD's statement, "Israel-Hamas war fuels increase in hate crimes, protests in 2023", made zero mention of the fact that Arabs, LGBTQ2S+, Indigenous, South Asians had a HIGHER % increase in hate crime reports than antisemitism. CBC & Global News reported exactly what VPD said.
