Black man, after threatening a white woman in the woods, resisted arrest and while being subdued, died from the injury. And most of America would not give a shit about that story.
If Christian Cooper's cell phone battery was dead. And the wrong officer arrived and saw a frantic white woman with a cute dog screaming that the black man threatened her in the woods. That black man could have ended up with a knee on his neck. The news story would read.
