This is a bit misleading. On FTAs – rollover is only possible under transition period. Since you’re writing about no-deal preparations this is not the case. No-deal means UK loses access to all FTAs on Brexit day next March. There is no rollover under no-deal. /1

So now I’m being told that despite the fact pretty much everyone agrees that Brexit will destroy the NHS, tank the economy for 50 years and lead to complete societal meltdown, we HAVE to do it because if we don’t, Europhobes will piss & moan. Wow. Imagine that.
Also important not to lose sight of reality in brandishing threats of no-deal. EU 27 have a larger population and GDP than USA. It’s them not us that have the 54 free trade deals, the air services agreements etc. The EU will take #Brexit in their stride. The impact will be on us.
Important not to misrepresent my words: Britain WOULD survive and prosper without a deal...but it would be a big mistake for Europe because of inevitable impact on long term partnership with UK. We will only sign up to deal that respects referendum result
So my working hypothesis on Brexit's impact on EU-UK services trade is that, outside SM, main impact = much more difficult to sell cross border from UK territory into EU. So in nerd speak, mode one supply of services becomes significantly more constrained.
