“i think that’s perfect actually,” she chirped, properly kissing him again, leaning over him to do so
giving her a soft kiss back , he's gently tugging her closer while laughing softly . "spend more time with you , think that could be arranged ?"
“hm?” she turned, blinking blankly at him. “yeah i’m uh, i’m good. drunk — but good.” why wasn’t her key opening the door.. oh. wrong key. she’d get there eventually.
“Are you sure you're alright?. .” His voice called out after her, hand reaching to leave the door open just a crack. It wasn't just a bump on the head he was talking about, something was up. .
a small nod, fumbling with her keys a bit down the hallway, glancing back towards him curiously before disappearing into her apartment moments later.
“cool. . I'll see you around.” Giving a small wave again, he'd slowly close the door, returning inside his own apartment. Perhaps he could do something more than just soup-advice. .
amara stood from the couch and came down the small hallway, double checking the peephole before opening the door. “hey, come in.” her voice was gentler than she usually let it become, stepping aside so he could come in. she couldn’t help the small smile as she saw the pattern.
It takes around 30 minutes before there's a knock at her door; Lucas stands there in his squid scrub bottoms and a black hoodie, holding two bags with food, and some snacks in case she wanted some.
her smile grew, shifting up and pressing her lips to his, “plenty of time foooor?” she chuckled out, cupping a hand over his cheek
his hand gently rested against her head , fingers gently stroking through her hair fondly . "no . . not until a little bit later . we have plenty of time ."
“no clue.” she shook her head, reaching to at least somewhat help so he wasn’t doing all the work. “i never watched them.”
looking up from the manual, a little smile clinging on. “A padawan. . You know, jedi apprentices from Star Wars.” Taking one of the corner foots they have to attach.
she lifted her head without sitting up, “what did you call me?” her head tilting as she did sit up.
chuckling softly, taking the numbs and redoing them into the correct holes. “patience young padawan.” then he goes back into the manual, rechecking the entire thing.
“they’re nubs how can-“ amara groaned, practically throwing herself into the floor behind her, “i’m over it, send it back i’ll walk over piles of clothes to get ready, i don’t even care anymore.”
“It has to be some kind of humiliation ritual because as soon as you call for a home assembly they do it in like 15 minutes.” takinc the paper he starts to study it, thankfukly they haven't wrenched things together too tightly. “I think. .we have +

helping @lcstdaughter assemble some new ikea furniture to her apartment. this really is a two person job, atleast the manual is.
