Two weeks ago the DOW lowered flows and electroshocked the river, presumably this activity led to some fish fatalities.
Odd observations on the lower South Platte just above the confluence of the North Fork today: multiple dead trout and a few disoriented ones

And when I say 25+ fish, I'm not exaggerating. There are 1000s of trout per mile, and they're holding deep below the speed runs. #dredge
On the Colorado River headwaters, today fished from 10-Noon; easily 25+ fish hooked up, ranging from 18" to little guys. #troutbum
