You know I used to believe in the Lab Leak until I heard of Eddie Holme's picture of a Raccoon dog on his iPhone from 2014 that 100% proves Huanan market was the epicenter. I mean with evidence that strong who can argue!

I think we should start referring Proximal Origins as "The non peer reviewed Proximal Origins". So that people understand that it was originally rejected and then published w/o peer review. #RetractProximalOrigins @Ayjchan @WashburneAlex @R_H_Ebright

Ah yes, the Proximal Origins authors are so kind. Downplaying the fact research could have lead to the death of millions, so that said research does not get banned/regulated despite it being very likely to happen again is "good intensions". #RetractProximalOrigins

Multiple people including you would probably have been sued for slander/libel already if these scientists weren’t so kind hearted They are the kind people, good intentions, on the right side of history You ? Not so much.

"This is textbook science in action." Kristian Andersen, a co-author of a paper explaining the origins of COVID-19, debunks allegations that he and his team tried to cover up a lab leak theory. Full video here: c-span.org/video/?529219-…

everyone giving a pass to the people propagandizing and canceling and banning people for pointing it out, pretending it didn’t happen, and continuing to fund gof

Top Requirements: 1. Ability to keep secrets 2. Indifference to the death of millions 3. Follows orders without question.

Interesting that we can easily find SARS-CoV2 circulating in deer, yet are unable to find the progenitor virus that should be circulating in farmed/wild animals that are suspected to be responsible for the spillover. It's as if it magically vanished after the first human got sick

Virological and serological evidence of circulation of SARS COV 2 among white tailed deer in the US. Large study, worrisome results. High prevalence of ongoing and past infections, showing this is a reservoir in which the virus is circulating biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

You have it backwards those who dismiss LL are in the same camp as oil executives dismissal of climate change since it is in their best interest to do so. Both groups do not want regulations, or held liable in any way so business can go on as usual.

Anyways the criticism was about how lab leakers use out of context emails to falsely smear scientists. That is what "climategate" and this situation has in common.

What's your take on this argument?

This brings me back to main caveat I noted about Chinese CDC pre-print when it posted last year: we are unlikely to get conclusive answers about origin of an outbreak that started in Nov 2019 (or earlier) by looking at samples collected in Jan 2020:

I remain of opinion that we will not get a conclusive answer from incomplete data from mid-Dec to early Jan. We should try to get more details about previously described for cases in Nov and very beginning of Dec: (17/n)

The codon used in SARS-CoV-2, CGG, is the least common of the six, representing just 1.5% of the total Arg codons. They inserted two of them, back to back. This is not surprising because CGG is the codon widely used in labs for Arg for over a decade. americanthinker.com/articles/2023/…

My opinion in @AMIposts Instead of grappling only with the fact that scientific research might have caused this pandemic, we now also have to contend with whether & how members of the scientific community have suppressed inquiry into a laboratory origin. the-microbiologist.com/opinion/manufa…
